2003

New Years we celebrated by watching the sunset on the beach with a picnic. And then to bed, cause Joshua wakes around 6, no matter what day it is.

Lisa will start working fulltime, so Joshua will go fulltime into day-care. In fact he’ll go up to the two’s room (a few months before his birthday). He has learned to pace himself and sleeps at day-care (on a stretcher), but he is still between 1 or 2 sleeps a day. Around his birthday we’ll probably move him into a ‘real’ bed.

That will also be the time when we upgrade him to a booster-seat in the car. This means that he will also be able to ride with Simon in the MX5 (I’m not sure we will enjoy that more: Joshua or papa ?).

For Simon there is lots of uncertainty, with Conan Group currently hanging on in their minimum format, but with ITIL having a promising future in Perth/Australia and the economic climate slowly turning.

We’ve got no holidays planned for next year, but hope to welcome Simon’s parents and other friends from the Netherlands later in the year (spring/summer: October onwards).

Kijk eens wat wij in de zak vonden !!

Behalve de kerstgroeten en de beste wensen voor het nieuwe jaar, ook een vooruitblik van wat wij verwachten in ...

2003

Oud-en-Nieuw vierden we op het strand, met een picknick, bij de ondergaande zon. En toen naar bed, want Joshua wordt om 6 uur wakker, ongeacht wat voor dag het is.

Lisa begint nu weer volledig te werken, dus Joshua gaat straks 5 dagen naar het dagverblijf. Hij gaat daar ook naar de twee-jarigen (een paar maanden voor zijn verjaardag). Hij is iets minder actief en slaapt overdag in het dagverblijf (op een streetcher), maar hij is nog steeds in de overgang van 2 naar 1 dutje overdag. Rond zijn verjaardag zullen we hem waarschijnlijk een eigen, écht bed geven.

Dat is ook zo ongeveer de tijd dat hij uit zijn kinderstoel kan en in een autozitje. Dan kan hij ook met Simon in de MX5 (Ik weet niet wie daar meer plezier aan heeft: Joshua of papa ?).

Voor Simon is er veel onzekerheid, Conan Group heeft een minimum bezetting, maar ITIL belooft veel in Perth/Australië met het economisch klimaat aan het keren.

We hebben geen vakantie gepland, maar hopen Simons ouders en andere vrienden vanuit Nederland welkom te kunnen heten (in het voorjaar/de zomer: vanaf oktober).
